Description:
Hærfest is a videogame in which the player takes control of a bat-like creature. After awakening in a forsaken barn and eventually traveling through a mysterious forest, the player has to move through the environment with the help of different abilities - one of which is the sonar burst, an ultrasonic screech that enables the player to see the distant environment. But just what is going on in the forest? What has happened before the players' awakening?

Hærfest - Video Game
HÆRFEST is an atmospherical exploration adventure game for Windows XP, Vista and 7. Started in September 2008, the game explores a broad palette of innovative and immediate approaches to game design and narrative design. Released on November 13th 2009, the game is currently participating in the 12th Annual Independent Games Festival. Click here to see the entry.

HÆRFEST is a student project, created by 17 students of the course International Game Architecture and Design at the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands).
In July 2009, the producing team released the Alpha version of Hærfest - and entered the IGAD Gamelab Awards - a game-release party for game production university projects. Hærfest received recognition as the Best Game - and indeed won in every category (Design, Art, Audio and Code).
